
Born in the West Midlands , now living in North Wales, Cheryl studied Experimental Media at The Slade School of Art. Her work has included film, photography, printmaking , mixed media and paint.
Shortlisted for the Kyffin Williams Drawing Prize 2024, Longlisted for VAA Artist of the Year 2024 and selected for the Liverpool Art Fair and Agored Oriel Plas Brondanw 2024, her work has also been included in The Royal Cambrian Academy Winter Open , The North Wales Open, Agored Galeri Caernarfon ( Second prize 2015), Wrexham Open and in group exhibitions at Gallery 22 Chester, Ucheldre Holyhead, Galeri Caernarfon and Oriel Theatr Clwyd; Cheryl was asked to contribute to the Luciano Benetton Collections “Imago Mundi Contemporary Artists from Wales” and selected for Helfa Gelf Artists exhibitions at Oriel Plas Brondanw, Oriel Mostyn Llandudno, Oriel Theatr Clwyd Mold and Oriel Y Capel Llangollen.
Included in ’85 Degree Show’ The Serpentine Gallery London and shown at ICA London, Watershed Bristol, Film House Edinburgh, Cornerhouse Manchester and Tate Gallery London ; the Scottish Arts Council exhibition ‘Identity/ Desire Representing the Body and ‘A Camera of her own’ New Films by Women. Cheryl was a recipient of the New Film and Video Artist Prize 1985, and has received grants from East Midlands Arts and Merseyside Arts.
